Fashion Q/A

What does the word ”fashion” mean to you?
// To me that word is in a way hard. I wouldn’t say that I’m good at following trends, so I think I’ve twisted the concept and I’d say that fashion can in a way have to do with on going trends, men fashion to me is first and foremost a way to express yourself so fashion is different for everyone, depending on person, style and bransch I would say.

How much attention do you pay to fashion in the way you dress?
// Also a tricky question. I definitively don’t copy a lot of trends, I stick to my ”simple but detailed”-style and then I go with a few garments that has with trends to do, but I’m quite often a bit late with attracting the trends.

An example of how I’d like to dress an ordinary day

When you read a newspaper, do you read the fashion pages? If so, what sort of information do they usually provide?
// I rarely read the newspapers, but in that case I look online at Café or Metro Fashion, only to gain inspiration to myself. I have started to follow Martin Hansson slavishly and I get a lot of inspiration from him (I have been thinking about writing a post about how I almost only get inspiration from men later!) and then I look mostly at material, color combinations and news that I may have missed.

Does fashion allow people to express their individuality or does it force people to conform?
// I really think that’s individually and maybe that some people might feel pressured. I personally know for sure what I like and not, so therefore I don’t feel pressured, I only think it’s fun with clothes and accessories. I’m simply not afraid to dress as I want to because I’m proud and confident about that part of myself.

Does the media (or the fashion industry) play some role in creating or continuing stereotypes? What duty, if any, does the media (or fashion industry) have to change these stereotypes?
// Of course fashion brings out way too skinny models, but at the same time I think there’s a lot of brands, maybe not haute couture, but a lot of webshops that has already introduced plus size models who’s not stickthin. I think it’s amazing that people begins to understand that there are more types of bodies that’s not than thin than there are people thin as sticks. People are also smarter these days so I think it’s going in the right direction. Apart from that there’s always going to be body ideals, but I think we should invest in giving children a better confidence from the beginning and letting them know how beautiful they are, regardless of how small/big/thin/fat.

Ashley Graham an incredible beautiful plus size model!

Do you think that being a fashion model would be an enjoyable interesting life? Would you like to be one?
// I think I like the good in life a little too much… Hehe! I think it might be incredible interesting though, to travel and everything else that’s applies to that life.

What is in fashion for women this year?
// Lavendel, trenchcoats, funny prints, flowers and checkered stays, dark denim, pink and so on

Céline, Maison Margiela, Valentino.

What is in fashion for men this year?
// According to Martin Hansson: Double breastpockets, striped suit, high waist (YEEEEEESSSS!!!!), printcombinations and too big blazers (pleeeeaaase this will never work…).

Why all of my blogs and posts are deleted

So, I just wanted to come on here for those of you who actually reads the blog (who are you by the way???) and talk about why I’ve done what I’ve done and actually what I did. So, I deleted all of my blogs, I even deleted my Twitter since all of my posts was posted there too. The reason for it is rather simple. I just got tired of people knowing everything about me and I knew nothing about them.

I happened to find myself in situations where girls (first and foremost) has read my blog and acted ignorant against me. So many times I found myself in thoughts going: ”okay, so they’ve read the blog, they’ve given some thoughts to it and has now an opinion about me while I have nothing on them and I can’t defend myself because I don’t know what they read”. Maybe that’s not the case, but in the end that was what made me delete everything.

Tourn though is a great place to blog and they even gave me my own web-adress, so I still wanted to keep it. I sat down and tried to come up with what I wanted to do with this blog and I figured that it would be too hard for me to just quit the blog completely. Outfits and small talk doesn’t actually tell what I feel about myself or about others, so. how would a person be able to judge if they had nothing to judge but my personal style regarding clothing? I’ve uploaded like 3 posts here yet, and I feel like it’s working out. You know, me, uploading whenever I feel like it, sometimes more, sometime less. No stress.

The goal was just to let people read me the first time they met me, not through a blog on the internet. I want to be a fresh, unwritten leaf just as they are. Ain’t that fair?

Still though, I love writing, also I love English so I thought I’d do some basic writing on here when I feel like it (like some nights ago when I felt like writing about Jimi Hendrix), and also I like clothing, so I’m not ready to let this blog go. Blogging has been a part of my life since I was 12 and I do it because of how much I love writing, photographing and editing, also doing videos but that’s another project that’s still way too scary.

I’m not saying that I’m famous or that I’m a blogging-genius, I ONLY do it because it makes me feel good and happy. Please take that in. You don’t have to follow this blog unless you feel like it’s fun. I don’t even care if you follow it or not, this is for me, not for you.

Feel free asking questions if you like.
